Culottes for two

It’s no secret we are chocolate addicted and that we like to enjoy breakfast in one of our favorite bakeries in Shanghai. Green and Safe is nestled in the Former French Concession, the cool Shanghai neighborhood made of tree-lined roads, trendy little boutiques, bakeries and cute restaurants. It’s a cozy place, not only a bakery, but a place where you can find fresh vegeratbles, organic products, hand made cakes and cooking books. We particularly love the second floor, very bright with wooden floor and exposed beams ceiling, white vintage tables which you can share with strangers and big iron windows, typical of the houses of the old Shanghai. The light coming from the windows is amazing, and we love looking at the people walking outside and imagine a story for each one of them. We also love the big open kitchen, and we can’t help staring at the cooks preparing fresh brad and croissants during early morning or tasty launches at mid-day. If it was for Olivia she would jump on the other side, not only to help them, but to eat everything she finds on her way (we are talking about the greediest kid here!)

For this sunny spring day we both chose to wear culottes, a must have in spring summer season.

I chose for Olivia navy culottes with elastic waistband, very comfortable for toddlers, a bright yellow cardigan bursting spring from every pore, and a short sleeve t-shirt with flowers applications. Shall we talk about her sandals, which I tried to wear myself ;-)?

I also choose navy culottes for myself, super light and fresh, and matched them with a white top and a chanel-like jacket in fancy fabric with sequins.  I accessorized the look with a octopus brass necklace and with a pair of sneaker.
